Bollywood's Biggest FALLOUTS: Kartik Aaryan-Karan Johar, Ranvir Shorey-Bhatts, Kangana Ranaut-Apurva Asrani And More
On Friday, the topic of discussion everywhere in the Hindi film industry was the alleged fallout between Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan. The day started with reports of Kartik Aaryan being fired from Dostana 2, even after completing 20 per cent of the film, due to unprofessional behaviour. By the evening, without taking any names, Dharma Productions released a statement saying they will be recasting Dostana 2, which also features Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya, due to professional circumstances. The very next day, people noticed that Karan has unfollowed Kartik on Instagram as well and as per reports has vowed never to work with the actor again. Such fallouts are nothing new to the industry and here are some of the other infamous feuds that the industry has witnessed:

Shraddha Kapoor- Yash Raj Films
In 2010, Shraddha Kapoor was launched in a thriller called Teen Patti which boasted of a stellar cast including Amitabh Bachchan and Ben Kingsley. However, when the film failed to do well, Yash Raj Films took Shraddha under their wings to relaunch the actress under their new banner, Y Films, targeted towards youth-centric films. Reportedly, the production house signed an exclusive three-film contract with Shraddha, that started with Luv Ka The End. After that, she was offered Arjun Kapoor’s Aurangzeb, but the actress chose to work in Mohit Suri’s Ashiqui 2 instead. Even though the choice proved correct in terms of box office success, as Aurangzeb underperformed while Aashiqui 2 gave a new lease of life to Sharddha and Aditya Roy Kapur’s career, the actress hasn’t worked with Yash Raj Films again since. However, a few years ago, Shraddha had gone on record to say that Aditya Chopra is a very important person in her career and he even messages her when any of her film does well. She also stated that she hopes to do another YRF film soon.

Salman Khan-Arijit Singh
This tiff is quite well-known in the Indian film industry. It started in 2014 at an awards show that Salman was hosting. Arijit had won an award at the show and when his name was announced, he had to be woken up. That, combined with his casual attire and chappals, made Salman jokingly ask if he had fallen asleep. In response, Arijit had blurted out, “Aap logon ne sula diya.” The comment did not go well with Salman.

Karan Johar-Kajol
This was more of a personal fallout rather than a professional one. During the Diwali weekend in 2016, Karan’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma had clashed with Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay. During that while, Kajol had commented on a negative tweet directed towards Karan and that had soured their relationship. Karan even went on to say in his biography, An Unsuitable Boy, that he doesn’t think they will ever be able to get past it. However, the two friends reconciled and even talked about the issue publicly on Karan’s chat show Koffee With Karan.

Ranvir Shorey-The Bhatts
This feud also emerged due to personal reasons. Long ago, Ranvir and Pooja Bhatt were in love and reportedly, they were even engaged. However, according to reports, the couple allegedly broke up. In reply to an article that came out last year in August, around the release of Sadak 2, Ranvir had shared that it was Pooja who was the abusive one in the relationship and not him, and insisted that it was all a part of malicious PR campaigns against him. Pooja had gone on to marry Ranvir’s best friend Manish Makhija, but the couple split up after 11 years of marriage.

Kangana Ranaut-Krish
Telugu director Krish had made his Hindi directorial debut with Kangana Ranaut fronted Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. The director was supposed to helm the film by himself, but midway, Kangana took over the reins. Both the parties went on to put forward their versions of the story with Kangana claiming that Krish had left the project midway with no options left but for her to take over while Krish had said that the actress was lying and she had directed the film because she didn’t like a lot of parts that he had already shot. Kangana also had a tiff with her Simran screenwriter Apurva Asrani. He alleged that Kangana, who has been credited as additional dialogue and story writer of the project, tried to discredit him by claiming she had developed the story with Hansal from a one-line script.
